This window is divided in two tabs:
BatchScanPlus automatically stores customized settings in its default settings file These settings cover not only the options specified in the Preferences windows, but also some other interface options such as window sizes, the toolbar position and more.
As a bonus you can store the current settings in a separate file. That feature is used to keep different settings files for different works
Ask for confirmation before replacing the default Settings. Each time BatchScanPlus finish running, it saves automatically the program settings in its default settings file. If you loaded or saved the settings to a file BatchScanPlus will also save the changes to that file. If Ask for confirmation... is selected you will be asked if you want to save those settings to the default file as well. If Ask for confirmation... is not selected, the default settings file will be automatically saved without asking you.
Select Hand Grab automatically when saving: Select this option to make the selected tool automatically, after you save one image and load another one with the Save & Load Next and Save & Load Previous buttons.
Use Proprietary Open/Save Image Dialog. By default, BatchScanPlus uses Windows Open/Save dialog instead the proprietary dialog used by previous versions. If desired, the proprietary Open/Save dialog can be activated by selecting this checkbox.
Scanning Effects Delay:
When scanning two pages at once there are two ways to show the scanned
pages while the scan is done.
One way is without effects, in such case the scanned image will be shown a single image with a red line showing the splitting point between the two images that will be saved.
If Do not use any effect is NOT selected, BatchScanPlus will show as well a single image with a red line showing the splitting point between the two images that will be saved, but after a pair of seconds it will show the left page, it will wait a pair of seconds more and then will show the right page.
The Scanning Effects Delay determines how long the program will wait, when it pauses between showing the two pages, the left one and finally the right one. The Delay is specified here in milliseconds.
Image editor. The Edit > Open
with external Image editor menu opens the actual image with the
external Image editor specified here. It no program is specified at all,
then the default Windows Image editor will be used. Depending on which
programs you have installed and which Windows version you are using, different
programs may be set as the default image editor.
Take in account that not all Image Editors can handle all the image formats supported by BatchScanPlus.
