Limitations

HyperMaker is a completely self-contained, stand alone software package. The ebooks that it compiles don't require any Internet Browser in order to run, so it is fully compatible with any computer that runs on 9.x / ME / NT / 2000 / 2003 / XP / Vista, no matter which Internet browser is installed in the computer of how Internet Explorer is configured.

HyperMaker doesn't run under Windows 3 or Apple computers.

On the other side, and because the fact that HyperMaker provides a truly stand-alone viewer, it doesn't support 100% if the same features than Internet Explorer handles.

Basically HyperMaker does not support Java, JavaScript, Dynamic HTML nor Activex controls (except for playing Flash, Acrobat, Video and Sound files).

HyperMaker supports most of the HTML 3.2 specifications with many additional popular HTML 4 enhancements. Many Cascading Style Sheet properties are also supported. See also the Full list of supported HTML tags.

Through some very small "modified html" you can do some interesting stuff that is not available in IE.

The fact is that it is not possible having a full stand-alone ebook compiler (not depending on MSIE) as is HyperMaker and scripting support.
